Ado is a Japanese singer known for her hit songs from popular anime series. She is the voice of a new era, reflecting the mentality of Gen-Z in Japan with her impressive songs and powerful performances. Ado's music is influenced by J-Pop, punk and ‘Yakousei’ (which literally translated means ‘nocturnal’), a catchy Japanese subgenre similar to alternative rock. Debut single ‘Usseewa’ was an instant hit in homeland Japan, with an atypical raw punk edge that immediately set them apart from the average mainstream pop music. The real big success came with ‘New Genesis’, a song she recorded for the legendary anime film One Piece Film: Red. It became the first Japanese song to reach No 1 in Apple Music's Top 100: Global Chart.
In early 2024, Ado left on tour and sold out venue after venue worldwide. The singer performs completely incognito, her identity and appearance disguised by an avatar. During her concerts, only her silhouette is visible, giving full space to the music.
