The French Ben L'Oncle Soul became famous thanks to his daring covers of - for example - 'Seven Nation Army', 'Crazy' and 'I Kissed a Girl' but ten years ago he also drew attention with his debut album filled with own songs. His love for Motown is obvious and he effortlessly combines it with other influences from R&B, hip hop, pop, soul and jazz. A bit of everything but the singer knows how to master all genres without any problem. His latest release 'Red Mango' was recorded in California and surfs even more on soulful grooves and reggae. These days he is more known as simply Ben. His retro sound still harbors both American swag and French flair. An artist “pur sang quoi”!
