Madjo est une autrice, compositrice et musicienne franco-suisse sénégalaise ayant vécu à Brighton, Paris et Montréal, avant de revenir s’enraciner en terres alpines. Au fil de ses trois albums (« Trapdoor » en 2010, « Invisible World » en 2015, et « Rebellion » en 2023), Madjo se renouvelle sans cesse en créant une musique exploratoire pop à la fois chaude et vivante, intime et métissée d’indie-rock, de soul, de folk, et de sonorités électroniques.
Sa voix magnétique, son alacrité, sa rondeur épicée, lʼalchimie du féminin et masculin, et sa présence sur scène magistrale sont le reflet dʼune sensibilité et dʼune communion avec un monde intérieur vivant, mouvant et la nature qui lʼentoure.
« Rebellion » son troisième album à venir à l’automne 2023, a été composé entre Brighton, Montréal, Bruxelles, et sa Haute-Savoie natale, pour finir sa réalisation en Savoie dans les Bauges.
Dans cet opus organique, Madjo déploie son univers sensible et onirique et chante lʼautre versant, celui du vivant, de ce qui nous relie au monde.

Madjo is a French-Swiss Senegalese singer songwriter and musician who has lived in Brighton, Paris and Montreal, before returning to put her roots down in the Alps. Over her three albums ("Trapdoor" in 2010, "Invisible World" in 2015, and "Rebellion" to be released in 2023), Madjo constantly reinvent herself by creating an exploratory pop music that is both warm and lively, intimate and mixed with indie-rock, soul, folk, and electronic sounds.
Her magnetic voice, her spicy roundness, the alchemy of the feminine and masculine, and her stage presence are the reflection of a sensibility and an harmony with a spirited moving inner world and the nature that surrounds her.
"Rebellion", her third album due in 2023, was composed between Brighton, Montreal, Brussels, and her native Haute-Savoie, and was finished in the Bauges Mountains.
In this organic opus, Madjo unfolds her delicate and dreamlike universe and sings about the other side, the side of the living, of what connects us to the world.
