St. Paul & The Broken Bones is southern soul straight out of Birmingham, Alabama. Their leader and frontman Paul Janeway has assembled this group of eight musicians to make sizzling soul music with hints of rock and R&B. The music is very inspired by gospel artists such as The Mighty Clouds of Joy, by singer-songwriters such as Nick Cave, Tom Waits and, of course, by soul singers such as Otis Redding, James Carr and O.V. Wright. After two critically acclaimed albums, Janeway and his group worked with renowned producer Jack Splash (Solange, Kendrick Lamar) for their album "Young sick Camellia. From opening for the Rolling Stones to playing live on The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Conan, St. Paul & The Broken Bones have done it all in the meantime.
