HAYSEED DIXIE

HAYSEED DIXIE

Hayseed Dixie is a phonetic pun on AC/DC and immediately explains the American band's origins. It started on a hot summer day in 2000 when, after a lot of whiskey drinking, the four men discovered that 'Highway to Hell' and Hank Williams' 'Lost Highway' sounded perfectly together. After some more whiskey, the foursome reinterpreted ten songs by AC/DC with some friends and recorded them right away. The genre of rockgrass was born, with banjo, acoustic guitar, violin, mandolin and polyphonic harmonies. Many albums later with both original material and reinterpretations of well-known rock songs, Hayseed Dixie guarantees an evening of hillbilly rock fun.
