Inspired by artists such as Bon Iver, Big Thief, Clairo and St.Vincent, Meis (a.k.a. Aysha de Groot) writes intriguing pop songs floating on acoustic instruments and obscure synths. She already toured with Bazart and Eefje de Visser, for whom she also still does backing vocals. Her EP ‘Een’ is sometimes raw, sometimes dark and always delightfully dreamy. Meis embraces the wry and imperfect in the most comforting way.
