Seb Lowe is a young British indie artist who combines sharp lyrics with melodic, accessible songs. Together with Kate Couriel and Joel Goodwin, he creates music that brings together indie, rock and pop, with lyrics that are incisive, direct and socially aware.
During the pandemic, Lowe found a direct channel to a new audience through TikTok. His short clips have grown into an important part of his journey, now reaching more than 500,000 followers and nearly 11 million likes.
His work is inspired by a wide range of artists, including Sinéad O’Connor, Led Zeppelin, Arctic Monkeys, Eminem and David Bowie. Those broad references come through in songs that do not shy away from social inequality, politics and sexism. With his feel for language, melody and nuance, Lowe approaches these themes in a way that is accessible yet sharp.
