The Human League 'Dare 40' concerts will be postponed
As you will all have heard the Belgian government have just announced it will be immediately implementing new measures to avoid further COVID infections in the country. This means it is now impossible for all The Human League shows scheduled for the next three days to take place and has reached the point where the risk is simply too high for them, their crew and al their equipment to cross the Channel without actually knowing if any of the shows can take place or not. Unfortunately this means that the three shows planned for this Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Antwerp and Brussels will have to be postponed until September 2022.
The band said ‘We are absolutely devasted by this. We were so looking forward to performing for our Belgian fans but with all the uncertainty around the timing of these new measures we couldn’t risk travelling all the way from the UK only to end up in front of a closed venue in Belgium. Or perhaps to see capacities reduced to a point where not all our fans could get in to see the show. We are so sorry about this. We had all our trucks, busses, crew and equipment driving towards Dover as this information reached us, so it’s a huge problem for us in many ways but clearly something that is out of all our hands. We will see you in 2022!”
The new dates for The Human League shows are:
September 1st – Ancienne Belgique – Brussels
September 2nd and 3rd – De Roma – Antwerp

Concerten van The Human League 'Dare 40' zijn uitgesteld
Zoals we allemaal hebben vernomen, heeft de Belgische regering zojuist aangekondigd dat zij onmiddellijk nieuwe maatregelen zal nemen om verdere COVID-besmettingen in het land te voorkomen. Dit betekent dat alle shows van The Human League die gepland staan voor de komende drie dagen niet door kunnen gaan en dat het risico te groot is geworden voor The Human League, hun crew en al hun apparatuur om het Kanaal over te steken zonder te weten of de shows wel of niet door kunnen gaan. Helaas betekent dit dat de drie shows die voor aanstaande zaterdag, zondag en maandag in Antwerpen en Brussel zijn gepland, zullen moeten worden uitgesteld tot september 2022.
De band zegt: "We zijn hier absoluut kapot van. We keken er zo naar uit om voor onze Belgische fans op te treden, maar met alle onzekerheid rond de timing van deze nieuwe maatregelen kunnen we het niet riskeren om helemaal vanuit de UK te reizen om dan in België voor een gesloten zaaldeur te staan. Of misschien te zien dat de capaciteit zodanig is gereduceerd dat niet al onze fans naar binnen kunnen om de show te zien. We vinden dit zo jammer. We hadden al onze vrachtwagens, bussen, crew en apparatuur al in beweging gezet richting Dover toen deze informatie ons bereikte, dus het is een enorm probleem voor ons, maar duidelijk iets dat volledig buiten onze handen ligt. We zien jullie in 2022!"

Les concerts de The Human League "Dare 40" seront reportés
Le gouvernement belge vient d'annoncer des nouvelles mesures pour prévenir de nouvelles infections au COVID-19. Cela signifie que l'incertitude entourant les concerts de The Human League a atteint un point où le risque est tout simplement trop grand pour les artistes, leur équipage et tout leur équipement de traverser la Manche. Malheureusement, cela signifie que les concerts programmés ce samedi, dimanche et lundi à Anvers et Bruxelles devront être reportés jusqu'en 2022.
Le groupe a déclaré: "Nous sommes absolument dévastés par cettes nouvelles. Nous étions tellement impatients de jouer pour nos fans belges, mais avec toute l'incertitude concernant le calendrier de ces nouvelles mesures, nous ne pouvions pas risquer de voyager du Royaume-Uni à la Belgique pour arriver devant une porte d’une salle fermée. Ou peut-être de voir que la capacité a été réduite à un point tel que tous nos fans ne peuvent pas entrer. Nous sommes vraiment désolés. Nous avions tous nos camions, bus, équipage et des équipements déjà en route, c'est donc un énorme problème pour nous, mais clairement quelque chose de complètement hors de nos mains. Nous nous reverrons en 2022 !"

2 et 3 septembre - The Roma - Anvers
