Das Pop, the band around vocalists Bent Van Looy and Niek Meul, is going to play again. With the catchiest pop choruses, the group has managed to nestle in every possible ear since the late 1990s. After winning Humo's Rock Rally in 1998, Das Pop released debut album ‘I Love’ two years later. No coincidence, then, that in 2025, the group plans to plunge back fully into playing live, because what better way to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of your first child? Bent and Niek have surrounded themselves with a pack of top young musicians for the occasion (as Reinhard Vanbergen is focusing on his own musical projects and a dissertation) and have already entrenched themselves in a rehearsal room to let their colourful songs shine again.
Armed with a raft of perfect pop songs (‘You’! ‘Never Get Enough’! ‘Wings’! ‘The Game’! ‘Underground’!), a wardrobe full of heart-wrenching outfits and, above all, a lot of desire to conquer the stage again, Das Pop is ready for a crazy pop trip far beyond the horizon.
