philine

philine invites you into a soft, dreamlike world full of emotion—only to gently confront you with raw, honest truths. Her music moves between emotional depth, romance, psychology, and spirituality, reaching beyond what is immediately familiar. Her queerness and psychedelic experiences have also shaped her artistic path.

Since her debut EP Somewhere Else (2021), philine has been touching audiences with her music. Her sound has evolved through the following EPs so sick of myself (2023) and the side-effects of living in a fantasy (2024). The latter forms a diptych with the truth of living in reality (2025), exploring the journey from escapism to acceptance. While one project unfolds in a romantic inner world of imagination and introspection, the other turns toward reality as it is—complete with love, confusion, pain, and clarity.

Her ability to articulate complex emotions in a delicate and precise way has not gone unnoticed. It was a special moment when her major inspiration John Mayer played her song “matter” on his radio show, accompanied by warm words of support. Media such as The Line of Best Fit described her music as “deeply introspective,” Atwood Magazine praised her honesty as “refreshing,” and Melodic Magazine called her “a narrative imagination.”

She has already shone as a support act for Lizzy McAlpine, MEAU, Provinz, Froukje, and Son Mieux.
